HEART FAILURE
“But when Pharaoh saw that there
was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had
said. And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the
people go.”
Exodus 8: 15, 32
King James Version
The world is full of hardened hearts, hearts that we have allowed to become
hardened against our families, our loved ones, our friends and the world. God
forgives us over and over again when we sin and fail Him, yet we are not willing
to forgive others when they hurt us. We say that we have a right to be angry.
This is not a true statement. There is only one who has the right to be angry
and His Name is Jesus.
Jesus is the One who suffered excruciating pain and horror on that cruel cross
of Calvary for our sins. He is the One who was spat upon, cursed, ridiculed,
mocked, abused, tortured, and treated worse than a criminal. If anybody should
be angry and harden His heart, it is our precious Savior. Yet, because He is
Love, He forgives us over and over again. Where would we be today if He had
hardened His heart and refused to die for our sins? We would be on our way to
hell for all eternity.
When we don’t forgive our families, loved ones, friends and the world, in
reality we are saying that Jesus died in vain and that He is not what He claims
to be, the Saviour of the world who is filled with Love and compassion for every
person. We crucify Him daily by our hateful words, our hardened hearts, and by
the cruel things that we do to one another. How this must break the heart of the
One who gave His very life so that we may have unconditional Love.
Cardiac arrest is a frightening term when we hear it at the hospital, but
cardiac arrest that we do willingly against people is not only fatal, it is a
heart that no operation or doctor can help. It takes the blood of Jesus applied
to our hearts to have a new heart, a permanent heart, and a heart that will
never fail through His protection, Love and mercy. Have you allowed Jesus to
take away the bitterness, resentment, hatred, criticism and sarcasm from your
heart?
Have you given your heart and life to the Saviour of the world who Loves you so
much that He stretched out His precious arms on a cross of torment and died for
your sins? If not, I urge you, I plead with you to say yes to Jesus today! Your
family, loved ones and friends love you and want to meet you in Heaven. Don’t
miss out on spending Eternity with Jesus, our Loving Saviour.
