NO GREATER NAME
“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou
hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall
be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the
throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”

There are many famous names in history, but there is no greater name than Jesus.
This wonderful baby grew up and walked the long lonely road to the cross. There
He suffered and died for us and became the Saviour of the world. Just thinking
about His name fills me with awe, gratitude and overwhelming love for Him. He,
who knew no sin, became sin for me so that I might be saved. Indeed, there is no
greater name than Jesus!
Not only is there no greater name than Jesus, there is no greater friend than
Jesus. He is our faithful comforter and He encourages, guides and protects us.
The greatest thing about His friendship is that He never leaves us, not even for
a minute. There are times when we need to talk to someone in the middle of the
night but we hesitate to call someone because we know we will wake them up. We
can talk to Him any time of the day or night and we never have to make an
appointment or worry about disturbing Him.
There are all kinds of physical exercises to keep our bodies in shape. There is
a spiritual exercise for a broken heart and it works. I have been doing it for
two years. The next time you feel sad and lonely try doing this exercise. As you
breathe in, say “Je” and as you breathe out, say “sus”. His name will calm every
storm. What a privilege to say His beautiful name!
