THE JOY OF MY HEART
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of
the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them
in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the
Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
1 Thessalonians 4: 16 – 18
King James Version
My sister is coming to town next week and I am longing
to see her because I love her so much, but I might get to see Jesus before she
comes next week. I love my sister dearly and would die for her, but Jesus is the
Joy of my heart. He did die for me; He shed His precious blood for me on the
horrible cross of Calvary. One day, I will have the privilege of seeing Him face
to face and will be with Him for eternity. What joy floods my heart when I think
of seeing Him!
What a power packed and joyous passage of Scripture! Jesus, the King of Kings
and Lord of Lords, is coming back for us and we will see Him face to face. I
don’t know about you, but I would rather have this to look forward to than
anything else. Everything else pales in comparison to this great event.
I have received countless telephone calls and emails saying thank you for your
writings and your encouragement. I have very beautiful awards posted on my
website that have been given to me, but the award that my heart is longing for
and for which I am striving daily, is to hear Jesus say, “Well done, thou good
and faithful servant”. To know that I have brought a little happiness into the
life and heart of my best friend, Jesus, is worth more to me than anything in
this world. Are you ready for that trumpet call when Jesus will come back for
us?
