A PERMANENT ADDRESS
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.”
John 14: 2, 3
King James Version
I have lived so many different places in my life that I
have lost count of them. My cousin moved recently and I don’t have her new
mailing address yet. One day, if we have made a heart commitment to Jesus and
invited Him into our hearts to be our personal Saviour, we will have a permanent
address in Heaven. We will spend eternity with the One who gave His all for us.
I read in the paper this morning that the hurricane victims who are living in
trailers that were provided as temporary shelter for them are going to have to
move. Some of these dear people don’t have a place to go and are frantically
looking for a place to live. When Jesus comes back for us, we won’t have a
chance to look for a place to live. There will only be two places available,
Heaven or hell.
I know from personal experience that it is very frightening not to know where
you’re going to sleep at night, or even if you will have a bed on which to
sleep. If you’re having difficulty finding something for which to thank and
praise God, thank Him for your bed. I have slept on the floor many nights. When
I go to bed at night, I thank Him for my bed and that He Loves me enough to
provide my home, furniture, food and clothing.
Where are you going to spend eternity? Where have you made your reservation,
Heaven or hell? Jesus paid an agonizing price for you on the cross of Calvary so
that you may be saved and live with Him for all eternity. Say yes to Jesus
today!
