LEAVE IT THERE
“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages,
teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the
multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were
scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.”
Matthew 9: 35, 36
King James Version
How often do we take our burdens to Jesus and then as soon as we say amen we
start worrying about them and how we’re going to fix them. We need to leave them
with Jesus. He is the only one who can make everything right in a world filled
with violence, chaos and evil. Jesus wants to be our protector, deliverer and
fortress but we have to get out of the way and allow Him to work on our behalf.
Many times we stop Him from operating because we continue to do things our way.
These verses say Jesus healed sickness and disease among the people. Today, He
is still healing hearts that are filled with bitterness, unforgiveness,
jealousy, envy, malice, hatred, sarcasm and criticism. Only Jesus can change a
person’s heart. He is the only one who can tear down the indifference and
coldness in a person. It takes His special Love and warmth to penetrate through
the iciness of a person’s heart.
The verse says when He saw the multitudes that He was moved with compassion for
them. O’ that we would become like our Saviour and have compassion for each
other! There are so many people who are hurting and desperately need to know
that someone cares. They need someone to hug them to Jesus. Have you told
someone today that Jesus Loves him or her? Most important of all, have you
hugged Jesus through your words and actions to people?
